He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Hamill and Grace Hamill; his wife June Lila Hamill; his siblings, Blanche Hutt (Ken), Anita Matthews (Clair) and Fred Matthews; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Fraser, Ralph (Ruth), Kier (Violet), Hubert (Greta), Franklyn, Reginald (Levina), Upton (Elaine), Stuart (Eleanor) and Mildred MacKenzie (Burton).
He is survived by: his son Scott (Nancy); his grandchild Shelby O'Brien (Sean); his great grandchild Ellis of Northport; his sister Guelda Matthews of Montrose; his sister-in-law Ruby Fraser (Olive Darrach) of Northport; and his son Elmer (Grace). He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, and friends.
