It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Reta Rooney (Alberton, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on November 13, 2018, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Edward Simon; her husband Gerald; her children, James Rooney, John Rooney and AnAlayne Andrews; her granddaughter Melissa Caron; her daughter-in-law Joanne Rooney; and her siblings, Ada Doyle (late Steve), Anna Johnston (late Wesley), Doris McKenna (late Everett), Bernadine O'Connor (late Clem) and Doyle Griffin.

She is survived by: her parent Mary Beatrice Griffin; her children, Geraldine Frizzell (Bev) of Antigonish, NS, Doug of Scarborough, Pam Leard (Allan) of Cornwall, PEI, Olga Caron (Jean Guy) of Orleans and Daryl of Alberton; her sibling Olga Griffin of Summerside; and her sibling-in-law Catherine Griffin of Summerside. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren as well as her 19 great-grandchildren.
