She was predeceased by: her husband Bennett Gavin; her parents, Delore J. Perry and Florence M. Perry; her daughter-in-law Patsy Gavin; her siblings, Lottie Jones (Peter), Melvin Perry and Roy Perry (Barb); her parents-in-law, Jack and Lillian Gavin; and her siblings-in-law, Lottie Gillis, Geralding Murphy, Helen Gallant, Milfred Gavin (Mac), Lester Gavin, Alton Gavin (Al), Ralph and Gavin.
She is survived by: her children, Janet McMinn (George), Brenda Adams, Steve Gavin (Anne), Wayne Gavin (Mary), Shirley Buote (Gerald), Roger Gavin (Darlene), Debbie Perry, Floyd Gavin (Susan) and Randy Gavin (Shirley); and her siblings, Wilson Perry (late Gladys) and Irma Christopher (late Gerald). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 19th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rooney Funeral Home and Chapel (419 Main St, Alberton, PE C0B1B0). A funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 20th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Parish (341 Main St, Alberton, PE C0B1B0).
In lieu of flowers donations made to the Western Hospital Foundation or to the Maplewood Manor Recreation Fund will be gratefully appreciated by the family.
