He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Gillis and Mary Gillis (MacLean); his granddaughter Felicia; and his sister Jean Stewart (Bruce). He is survived by: his wife Wanda Gillis (Blue); his children, Elwyn Gillis (Joyce) and Pearl Gillis-Palmer (Roger); and his grandchildren, Ryan (Alicia), John (Nancy), Derek (Samantha), Kyle (Judith) and Rachel (Adam). He is also survived by great grandchildren.
