He was predeceased by: his parents, Alan and Lorie. He is survived by: his close friend Mary Phalen; his sons, Scott Mackie (Cameron Dobson), Simon Mackie and Alan Mackie; his stepdaughter Emilia Phalen; his siblings, Ian Mackie (Kim Minkus) and Natalie Mackie (Bruce Inglis); and his granddaughter Autumn Mackie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Prince Edward Island branch of Nature Conservancy of Canada.
