She was predeceased by : her parents, Roy Hewitt and Lena Hewitt (Wright); her former life partner J. Alden Rodd; her husband Dr. Elmer MacKenzie; and her grandson Michael Roper.

She is survived by : her children, Linda Roper, Roy Rodd, Karen Rodd (Helen) and Cindy Tait (Brian); and her grandchildren, Erin (Scott) and Kristen. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren, she is also survived by her stepchildren.
