With solemn reverence, we commemorate Bernadette Mary (Bernie) Newman (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), whose life came to an end on January 28, 2026 at the age of 89, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Bernadette may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Bernadette touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Bill Newman; her parents, Eileen Costello and Joseph Costello; her siblings, Gloria Trowsdale (Ron) and Kevin Costello (Lorraine); her stepmother Mary; and her siblings, Phyllis, Barbara, Shirley and Marie. She was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
