She was predeceased by : her husband John Scott. She is survived by : her children, Carolyn Allen (Sean), Steven (Nancy) and Nancy Briggs (Craig); her grandchildren, David, Peter Allen, Nicholas Scott, Sarah and Alicia Briggs; and her brother Gordon Genge (Linda). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Ann Chaisson wrote a sympathy message

“We played cards with her a couple times a week for the last few years .My husband and her were both in the hospital a month ago and we were chatting with her and telling her we were praying for her...It really saddens our hearts to hear of her passing..May she rest in peace...our Deepest Condolences to the entire Family. Catherine had a wonderful sense of humour and we always had a laugh together..I'm sure she's laughing in heaven and playing cards..She will be missed..Cecil Murl & Ann Chaisson”
