He was predeceased by: his son Christopher; his siblings, John P. (Jean), David (Susan), Kenny and Mary; and his parents, John S. Rose and Ruby Rose.
He is survived by: his spouse Debby; his children, Dawn Simpson (Derrick) of Coronation, Ont, Kent Steele (Lisa) of Bunbury and Jennifer Steele of Charlottetown; his grandchildren, Daniel Steele (Becky), Mark Steele (Tiana), Derrick Simpson (Dani), Glen Steele (Jessica), April Steele (Brandon McCarron), Haley Steele (James), Jenna Steele (Jamie), Jessica (Jess Beamish) and Eva Dawn Steele; his siblings, Bill (late Marlene Clark), Margaret Huskins (Bob), Gary, Tom (Florence), Eric (Erma), Donald, Larry and Rhonda Redmond (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Janet MacDonald (Gary), Lynn Gilbert, Nancy Gilbert (Mark Cain), Glen Gilbert (Maureen) and Mark Gilbert (Heather). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Charlottetown Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a veterans tribute service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4:45 p.m. If so desired memorial contributions may be made to Stroke Unit of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
