He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Shaw and Sadie Shaw (Russell); and his sisters, Claire Beeswanger, Joyce Michael, Lois Hooley and Pamela MacArthur.

He is survived by: his wife Elinor; his sons, Greg (Nancy) and Peter (Brenda); and his grandchildren, Haley LeBlanc (Blake) and Ryan.
