She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Hughes and Mary Hughes; her sister Flo Mackinnon; and her husband Manuel J. Garcia, Jr.. She is survived by: her sister Beverly Burling; her daughter Patricia "Trish" Merrell (Matthew); her granddaughters, Breeana Webb (Bruce) and Shannon Patterson (Mike); and her great grandchildren, Jayden, Lyla, Joslyn, Irone, Ryan and Dani. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
