It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Joseph Doiron (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on January 20, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Stanley Doiron and Rita Doiron of Charlottetown; his father-in-law John Skinner; and his pet Kibbles. He is survived by : his wife Rebecca; his sons, Andrew and Liam; his sisters, Valerie Brimicombe (John Mason) of Halifax and Deborah Doiron (Rick Doucette) of Charlottetown; his mother-in-law Joyce Skinner; his siblings-in-law, Florence Skinner (Hubert "Socky" MacDonald), Janice McAlduff (Dave), Ruth Skinner and Andrew Skinner (Kelli); and his nieces and nephews, Jennie, Ryan, Samantha, Jill, Chris, Sara and Jason.

Due to COVID-19 health restrictions, private visitation and funeral service will be held by invitation only.

Donations may be made in Ernie's memory to the Cancer Treatment Centre or Unit 1 at the QEH.

“Rebecca and family, we are so sorry to hear this news. Ernie was a great fellow always so easy to share stories with and have a laugh. I remember him since his hobiecat at the yacht club, always going for an extra sail, in any kind of weather too. I hope he continues to have adventures on the waves into the sunsets and beyond.
