He was predeceased by : his wife Ruth DeCoste (Hughes); his son Captain Jim DeCoste; his son-in-law Roger; his parents, Arthur DeCoste and Gertrude DeCoste (Smith); and his siblings, Harold DeCoste, Bill DeCoste, Paul DeCoste and Lorraine DeCoste.

He is survived by : his great grandchildren, Hailey Blanchard, Brandyn Blanchard, Gabriel Doiron, Kieran Doiron, Aiden Connor, Aria DeCoste, Anderson DeCoste, Olivia Grady, Della Grady, Quincey Grady and Kamden DeCoste.
