He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Paynter and Joyce Paynter. He is survived by: his wife Doreen; his daughter Cynthia; his stepchildren, Wade Yeo, Cheryl Hammill (Peter) and Norma Yeo; his grandchildren, Cassandra, Zachery, Grace, Joshua and Ezra; and his siblings, Sandra Gauthier (Rendle), Robbie (Isabel) and Derrick (Jean). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
