He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Larter and Hazel Larter (Darte); and his siblings, Hilda Gillespie, Irene Doyle, Eddie Larter, Ruby Larter, Eunice MacNeill and Audrey Walsh.
He is survived by: his wife Dinnie; his children, Sharlene Quinn (Mike), Janice Hiller (Al), Alfred (Rosemary) and Gary (Roxanne); his stepchildren, Danny MacDonald (Lisa), Jeanette Wakelin (Kent) and Michelle McAulay (Colin); and his sisters, Vera Andrews, Velda Wuorinen of Surrey, BC and Phyllis Doucette (Fiddy). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
