He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Rowell and Olive Rowell (Compton); and his brothers, William, Donnie and Martin.

He is survived by: his spouse Yvonne; his sibling Thomas Rowell (Norma); and his siblings-in-law, Lois Rowell, Dolores Jenkins and Wayne Jenkins (Barbara). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
