He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Dawson and Marguerite Dawson (Cobb); and his daughter Gwen. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Dawson (MacLeod); his children, Hal (Helen), Gail Osborne (Mike), Karl (Darlene), Myrna Dawson (Gordie Hovey) and Lee (Kelly); his grandchildren, Doug, Iris, Denise, Angela, Ashley, Robbie, Patricia, Steven, Quintin, Tristan and Cassidy; his stepgrandchildren, Tammy and Jeffrey; his great grandchildren, Rowan, Beth, Lucas, Robbie, Molly, Justin, Daniel, Garrand, Kimber, Marlin, Haiden, Dakota, Nyx, Nash, Hayden, Payton, Madison, Ethan, Dax and Devan; his brother-in-law George MacLeod; his siblings, Evelyn MacLeod, Frances Jones, Beatrice Kelly and John Gordon; his grandson Dennis; his great grandchildren, Gregory and Autumn; and his parents-in-law, Bruce and Myrtle MacLeod. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
