She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry and Agnes; and her husband Jeno Szalay. She is survived by: her siblings, Harry Garfield Ferguson (Marshfield), Agnes Karolyn MacAusland (Mill River), Gerald Garfield "Reg", Babe and Florence; and her nieces, Shelly Ellis (Clarence) and Charlene Nickles (late George).
