It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ida Gertrude Carpenter (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), born in Souris, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on April 6, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brothers, Peter Carpenter, Joe Carpenter and Norbert Carpenter; her brothers-in-law, Freddy Chaisson and Lloyd MacAleer; and her nephew Joey Carpenter.

She is survived by: her siblings, Mary MacAleer, Anne Chaisson, Evelyn MacPhee (Joe) and Jim Carpenter (Linda); and her significant other Donnie Gallant. She is also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews.
