With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan Howatt of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 30, 2026 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her brothers, Gerard and Arthur; and her parents, Emily May Gauthier and Jean Elmer Gauthier. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Howatt (Kelley McGuire), Jane Craswell and Tricia Thompson; her grandchildren, Emily (Cailin), Sarah (Ayden), Jesse, Brenna, Abby and Evie; her great grandchildren, Maris, Arlo, Tully and Nieve; her siblings, Paul Gauthier (Helena) and Yvonne Hercus (late Denny); and her sisters-in-law, Jeanne Gauthier-MacKenzie (late Gerard) and Sheliagh (late Arthur).
