It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Marie MacKinnon of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on April 17, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband Douglas MacKinnon; her parents, John O'Brien and Beatrice O'Brien (Pollis); her sister Peggy; her brother-in-law Kevin O'Connell; her brothers, John and Dan O'Brien; her siblings-in-law, Richard Howard and Patricia O'Brien; her parents-in-law, Mary and Joseph MacKinnon; and her brother-in-law Vincent MacKinnon.

She is survived by : her siblings, Elizabeth Howard and Thomas O'Brien; her sister-in-law Mary Andrews (George) of Stratford, PE.; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrews, Howard, Baird, O'Connell and Joan. She is also survived by 14 nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Holy Redeemer Church (3 Pond St, Charlottetown, PE C1A2N9).

In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Holy Redeemer Council.
