He was predeceased by: his wife Elsie Matheson (Wakelin); his daughter Nora Lannon; his parents, Daniel Matheson and Minnie Matheson (Moore) of Iris, PEI; and his siblings, Wendell, Donald, Edwin "Ed", Russell and Emily.
He is survived by: his son Raymond "Buddy" Matheson (Debbie Richards); and his brother Lloyd Matheson. He is also survived by grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
