He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack MacPhail and Laura MacPhail; his mother-in-law Elinor MacPherson; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Coles. He is survived by: his spouse Sandra; his children, Scott, Jimmy (Michelle), Harold (Diane McGuirk), Heather Holmes (Mark), Paul (Kim), Tim and Gregory (Shana Richard); his stepdaughter Julie Acorn Murchison; his siblings, Anne Smith and Barbara Coles (Hudson Jenkins); and his sibling-in-law Kathy MacPherson. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren.
