He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Burke and Julia "Lillie" Burke (Gallant); his siblings, Mary Ryan (J. R. Rockey), Clarence (Eileen), Lorne (Beryl) and Frank Burke; and his son-in-law Gary Davis.

He is survived by: his significant other Bernadette Milligan Peters; his children, Fran Andrew (Gerry), Darlene Noel (Eric), Mike Burke and Lynn Burke-Davis; his stepchildren, Carolyn, Kim, David, Jeffrey, Kenneth and Sharon; and his siblings, Shirley Doyle (Rae) and Art Burke (Bev). He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
