He was predeceased by: his parents, Douglas Peters and Eunice Peters (Doiron); his sister Marjorie Doiron (Vincent); and his pets, Magenta and Blossom.

He is survived by: his wife Jane; his siblings, Winnie Gallant (Freddie), Roy (Pat) and Norman (Pauline); his siblings-in-law, Pearle MacCallum (Bob), Sheldon (Donalda), Jessie (Caroline) and Ross Wheatley (Maureen); his close friend Richard MacCallum; and his pet William. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
