He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Rooney and Mary Rooney; his siblings, Fannie MacKenzie (Louis), Leo Rooney (Lorraine), Joseph Rooney (Joyce), Alban Rooney (Imelda), Eugene Rooney (Flo) and Jim Rooney; his stepson Kevin Hodder; his granddaughter Monica; and his great grandchild Brandon.
He is survived by: his significant other Marion Arsenault; his children, Debbie Rooney, Shelley Gallant (Dana), Kent Rooney (Karen) and Troy Rooney (Nancy); his sister-in-law Imelda Rooney; and his cousin Josephine Milligan. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and the many family and friends.
