He was predeceased by: his parents, Alyre Buote and Clara Buote; his brother Eric "Bon"; his father-in-law Harry Keating; and his brother-in-law Arnold Keating.

He is survived by: his wife Susanna; his children, Jeremy (Melissa), Kyle (Kelsey), Kayla (Drake), Kim, Bubba and Stephen Andrew; his grandchildren, Johnathan, Dylan, Ty, Darien and Jordan; his siblings, Wayne (Danielle), Leonard (Betty), David (Carol), Darlene Misener (Marvin) and Della Gallant (Gary); his mother-in-law Bessie Keating; his siblings-in-law, Cora Fletcher (late Bill), Leona Clarke (Glen), Inajean Boudreau (Roger), Loretta MacLean (Floyd) and Dougall Keating (Colinda); and his friends, Roger and Pauline A'Hearn. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
