He was predeceased by: his mother Margaret MacAusland; his grandparents, Willard and Mae MacAusland; and his stepbrother Wayne LaPorte. He is survived by: his children, Terry LaPorte (Kim) and Margo Thistle (Jason); his grandchildren, Chandler, Emily, Graysen and Cale; his sisters, Arlene Davis (Randy) and Geraldine MacAusland (Ron); and his stepsiblings, Sherry Brett, Mike LaPorte and Ricky LaPorte of Ontario.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 23rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Belvedere Funeral Home Chapel (175 Belvedere Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A2Y9).
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Larry may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
