It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maitland Alexander MacIsaac of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on January 26, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Alexander Andrew MacIsaac and Lillian (Griffiths); his son Shane; his sister Jeana; and his brother-in-law Winston Smith.

He is survived by : his wife Anne Steele; his daughters, Cathy (Rob Batherson) and Jeana (Mark Fraser); his grandsons, Maitland Samuel Batherson and Dan Joly (Nicole Payette); and his siblings, Lynn Smith, Bruce (Irene), Scott (Kelly Allen) and Neil (Donna). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, their spouses and partners and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Maitland MacIsaac to the International Children's Memorial Place or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.

Derm and Dianne Flynn wrote a sympathy message

“Dianne and I are saddened to hear of the passing of Mate. Any time we were in PEI we would have an opportunity to socialize with Mate and The Kinsmen and Kinettes of Charlottetown. He was a fine gentleman and a great entertainer. His wit and sense of humour were evident always. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of meeting him.
