Mary Ellen Chaisson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ellen Chaisson (Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 10, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth Joseph Chaisson; her parents, Henry Gallant and Mary Ann Gallant (Curtis); her siblings, Margaret Chaisson (Joseph), George, Pansy, Joe (Virginia), Gerard (Zita), Thomas and Lorne Gallant; and her great grandchildren, Samuel MacDonald and Nora Burke.
She is survived by: her children, Bev MacIntyre, Daniel (Marjorie), Gerard, Janice Burke (Reid), Judy MacDonald (late Kevin), Cynthia MacAulay (Mitchell), Teresa Pound (Paul), Jackie Victor (Mark) and Lori MacGregor (Mark); and her sisters-in-law, Pat Chaisson and Lorraine Jarvis (Gallant). She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild and numerous special nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hennessy Funeral Home (33 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5A3). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St Bonaventure's Parish (1295 Donaldston Rd, Tracadie Cross, PE C0A1T0).
If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Alexis Cemetery fund or a charity of your choice.
