She was predeceased by: her husband William "Bill" Gurney; her parents, Francis Murphy and Florrie Murphy (Fraser); her parents-in-law, Lyall and Janie Gurney; her siblings, Gerald Murphy (Daphne), Albert Murphy, Pauline Gallant (Arnold), Adeline Noreen Murphy and Mildred Gillis (Frank); and her sister-in-law Darlene (Donnie).
She is survived by: her children, Ronota Baglole (Blaine) and Campbell Gurney; her sister Frances Jarvis (Kimball); and her niece Paula Verhoeven. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
