She was predeceased by: her parents, Jerry Peters and Mary Peters (Perry); her former husband James Chowen; and her siblings, Cecil Pitre, Oswald Pitre, Lloyd Pitre, Joe Pitre and Emily Chowen.
She is survived by: her sons, Johnny, Floyd and Jason Chowen; her grandchildren, Jesse, Zackery, Makayla, Theresa, Dean and Riley; her great grandchildren, Elsie and Iris; her significant other Morris Martin; and her siblings, Angela DesRoches, Shirley DesRoches, Barb Gaudette, Bertha Pitre, Emile Pitre and Francis Pitre.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel (15 Ole King Square, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1P8).
