He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Meacher and Vera Meacher; his sister Mary Lynne; and his parents-in-law, Thane, Cecilia Campbell, Virginia (Campbell), Gordon Kinsman, Melville and Mary Campbell.

He is survived by: his wife Harriet Meacher (Campbell); his children, Jennifer, Carolyn (Gavin) and Michael; his grandchildren, Lucy Harper, Logan and Michael McCulloch; his brothers, Walter (Lynn), Robert (Pamela) and John; and his brother-in-law Alexander B. Campbell (Marilyn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
