She was predeceased by: her children, Dana Hood and Dillon Hood. She is survived by: her husband Stephen Courtney; her parents, Ron Gillespie and Diane Gillespie; her sisters, Kim Rideout and Dawn Dickson; her brother-in-law Jay Dickson; her son Tristan Hood; her daughter-in-law Abby Hood (Tristan Hood); her grandson Griffin Hood (Fin); and her stepdaughter Vergene Courtney (Naomi). She is also survived by family members, nieces, nephew, cousins.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home (33 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A7M8). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can also be made for both the Diabeties foundation, and the Heart and Stroke foundation.
