He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Avery and Elizabeth Avery (Rose); his parents-in-law, Earl and Vera Duffy; and his brother Brian Avery.
He is survived by: his spouse Marion Avery (Duffy); his children, Chandra Avery (Matthew Roach) and Patrick Avery (Erin); his siblings, Aletha Mullally (late Richard), Barb Boudreau (Dennis), Nora Maltais (Claude), Martin Avery (Earla), Donald Avery (Catherine), Robert Avery, John Avery (Betty), Marie Duncan (late Rick), Kent Avery (Terry), Michael Avery (Theresa) and Theresa McPhee (late Frank); and his siblings-in-law, Freda Avery, Donna Gay (late Lorne) and Jack Duffy (Lynn). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
