He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Barbara Suzanne Hiebert Hesse; the father of his child Benjamin J. Hesse; his daughter-in-law Diana Kocet; his child Robin Margaret Hesse-Iwasa; his son-in-law Grant George Iwasa; his daughter Rachel Suzanne Hesse-Moroney; his grandchildren, Kiri Suzanne Iwasa, Laura Tennant, Josh Hesse and Rebecca Eve Hesse; his brothers, Albert and Edmund; and his parents, Hans and Gladys. He was also cherished by partners and several great grandchildren.
