She was predeceased by: her husband Inman Herring; her daughter Shirley Pratt; her stepsons, Roy and Freeman; and her parents, John McKie and Florence McKie (Taylor).
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Shannon Pratt and Clifton H. Pratt; and her great grandchild Barry Herring (Donna). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
