He was predeceased by: his parents, Laurie Brewster and Marjorie Brewster (Fader); his brother Laurie; his sister-in-law Patricia "Pat" Brewster (Gardner); and his nephew Michael Gillespie.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Brewster (Morrison); his children, Barbara and Jamie Brewster; his sister Nancy Gillespie (David); his granddaughter Melissa Lewis; his nieces, Connie Gillespie and Tammy Brewster; and his nephew Danny Brewster.
