It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shirley Murray of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, who passed away on September 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Murray; her parents, Robert Andrews and Annie Mae Andrews; her son John; her brother David Andrews (Dulcinea); her parents-in-law, May and Gordon Murray; and her in-laws, Edward (Norma Jane), Stanley (Elsie), Hilda Sellick (Raymond), Margaret Hurry (Eric), Blythe (Phillis), Brad (Isabel), Archibald (Beverly), Alex (Joyce), Susie Wood (Lorne) and Dorothy Ramsay.
She is survived by: her sons, Ron Murray (Lisa Driscoll) and James Murray; her daughter-in-law Nancy Bartlett; her grandchildren, Patrick Callaghan (Emily MacDonald) and Katie Callaghan Doiron (Rob); her great grandchildren, Maeve Doiron, Marshall Doiron and Ruby Callaghan; her siblings-in-law, Catherine Murray and Bobby MacKay; and her close friend Ewen Stewart.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home (33 Longworth Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5A3). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society of PEI or Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI.
