Shirley Maude Sherren Obituary

With great sadness, we announce that Shirley Maude Sherren of Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, passed away on November 29, 2025, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Born on April 10, 1933, in Charlottetown, Shirley was the beloved child of Augustus and Gladys Downe.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Donald (Patrick) Sherren, her parents, and siblings Ross (Jean), Gus (Audrey), Doris (Bert), Don (Ramona), Kenny (Carol), and Pauline.

A graduate of Prince of Wales College, Shirley worked for many years in commercial services at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Possessed of a sly wit, Shirley often caught us by surprise with her humourous observations.

Shirley is survived by her children, Maureen, David, Nancy, and Susan, and grandchildren Brian, Michael, Garrett, Logan, Jonathan, and Allison.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the care provided by the staff of the Prince Edward Home and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Arrangements entrusted to Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottetown Funeral Home. No visitation or funeral service by request.
