She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorne Docherty and Edna Docherty (MacKenzie); and her husband Doug Gillespie. She is survived by: her children, Ryan Gillespie (Melissa), Amanda Fernandes (Tiago) and Mark Gillespie (Tammy Burton); her grandchildren, Logan, Francisco, Anna and Parker; and her sisters, Lorna Robertson (Bruce), Arlene MacDonald (Al) and Kathy MacMillan (Bob). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thelma may be made to the QEH Foundation or Harvest House.
