She was predeceased by: her husband Gerald Clarkin; her parents, Walter MacDonald and Lois MacDonald; her siblings, Kenneth and Dewar (Judee); and her brothers-in-law, Blair Bruce and Hessell Corney.
She is survived by: her children, Merlin Jay (Bertha), Irwin Jay (Barb), Glenn Jay (Freda) and Darla Jay (Vaughan); her grandchildren, Krista (Nick), Courtney (Jason), Travis (Michaela), Tara (Sean), Candice (Gary) and Jarad (Taylor); her siblings, Edith Clow (Aden), Bertha Bruce, Margaret Corney, Bernice Matheson (Vernon), Ethel Vessey (Gordon), Garfield MacDonald (Brenda) and Arlene MacEwen (Donnie); and her sister-in-law Helena MacDonald.
