She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Ellsworth and Edna Ellsworth; her husband Gerard Doucette; her siblings, Dorothy and Ivan; and her siblings-in-law, Norman, Freddy and Bernie.
She is survived by: her children, Darlene Kennedy (Kevin), Mike Doucette (Debby), Dawn Brown (Mike) and Sheri Taylor (Blaine); her pet Buddy; her grandchildren, Scott Matheson (Tawnya), Ashley Blacklaws (Jake), Brian Matheson, Tyler Brown (Ocean), Katelynn MacCallum (Evan), Nathan Brown (Shanie), Nick Doucette, Taylor Perry, Dylan Taylor, Sidney Doucette and Devon Taylor; her great grandchildren, Bradley, Ethan, Lilly, Peyton, Kohl, Elliot, Logan, Harper and Scarlett; her siblings, Joseph Jr. Ellsworth, Mark Ellsworth (Audrey), Carl Ellsworth (Beverley), Marion Noye, Helen May (Reggie), Linda Handrahan (Henry Jr.), Gerard Ellsworth (Sylvia), Karen Ellsworth and Shawn Ellsworth (Stacey); and her friend Crystal Doyle.
Velda was a lover of animals, in lieu of flowers, donations to the PEI Humane society would be appreciated.
