He was predeceased by : his parents, Bert Holloway and Ethel Holloway; his son Benjamin; and his sister Pauline Hoad. He is survived by : his children, Ian (Mousumee) and Emily Christina (Rob Falconer); his grandchildren, Mohana, Ishaan Holloway, Hannah and Callum Falconer; his siblings, BJ and Patrick; and his friend Ethel Wolfe. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.

Kendra Mellish wrote a sympathy message

“May my condolences bring you comfort and may my prayers ease the pain of Kip's loss. I was honoured to have known Kip on the Canadian Forces side of the medical trade and also on the PEI Cadet Leagues as he was a long standing Provincial Chair of the Navy League. Many will never forget his kindness over the years. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strength to bear the great pain. I hope Kip will be at peace and have an ever ending supply of smokes. RIP Sailor.”
