He was predeceased by: his wife Norma Gillis; his parents, Jerome Gillis and Ada Gillis (Condon); and his brother Fabian. He is survived by: his children, Brendon Gillis (Donna), Kathy Pickles (Dave), Peter Gillis (late Barb) and Patty McGuire (Eric); his grandchildren, Maryanne, Stephanie, Connor, Dunovan, Katie and Ethan; his great grandchild Merrick; his sisters, Jeannie Revel (late Joe) and Mary Leah Brown (Eric); and his siblings-in-law, Anita Ayers, Eileen Keefe, Rosemary Miller and Don Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation or PEI Ground Search and Rescue.
