With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Gordon Gillespie of Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 86. Though George may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gillespie and Sadie Gillespie (MacEachern); and his brother Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Beverley (Jewell); his siblings, Ethel MacQuarrie (late Mel), Carol Murray and Wayne (Denise); and his sister-in-law Thelma Gillespie.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Belvedere Funeral Home (175 Belvedere Ave, Charlottetown, PE C1A2Y9). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the West River United Church (10 Church St, Cornwall, PE C0A1H0).
