He is survived by : his spouse Roma MacKay; his child Harleigh (Susan); his siblings, Lois Thurgood, Sutherland, Audrey Muttart and Phyllis; and also, Sheldon Howatt, Marion Howatt, Ferne MacLeod, Jack MacDonald, Imogene MacDonald, Charlie Thurgood, Colin Waugh, George Muttart, Alister MacLeod, Harleigh Howatt and Camella Howatt. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
