She was predeceased by : her parents, John Johnson and Sadie Johnson (Paynter); her granddaughter Sherri Johnston Stuart; and her siblings, Louise (Clarence Marchbank), Evelyn (Keith Warren) and Andrew (Enid Johnson).

She is survived by : her husband Arthur P. Johnstone; her children, Ruth (Wayne Johnston) and David (Venessa Clyne); and her grandchildren, Jennie (Toronto), Alex (Calgary) and Luke. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Geddie Memorial Cemetery Fund to aid in monument repairs.
