It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gordon Dereck Blackett (Montague, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on December 30, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Gordon departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Gordon. Though Gordon may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Blackett and Viola Blackett; and his brother-in-law Johnny Howlett. He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his sons, Brian (Lindsay) and Chris (Dianna); his granddaughters, Sarah and Naomi; and his siblings, David Blackett and Evelyn Howlett. He is also survived by Nieces, nephews and many great friends.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 2nd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home Chapel (40 Wood Islands Rd, Montague, PE C0A1R0).
