It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Charles Burke (Montague, Prince Edward Island), who passed away on November 26, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Burke and Mary Burke (Sanderson); his daughter-in-law Doreen Burke; and his sister-in-law Christine Bourque. He is survived by: his sons, Michael of Edmonton and James (Christina) of Montreal; his granddaughter Meredith Burke (Deveau) of Montreal; his sister Anne Hibbert (Charles); his sibling's children, Grant and Sophia; his siblings-in-law, Cathy Shea and John Wigmore; and his niece Gloria Wigmore. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home (40 Wood Islands Rd, Montague, PE C0A1R0). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (25 Wood Islands Rd, Montague, PE C0A1R0).
